Ingredients:
Rice (raw rice tastes better) - 200 gms
Moong dhal - 100 gms
Ghee - 2 Tbsp
Cashew nuts - 5-10 broken
Green Chillies - 2 nos
Turmeric powder - 1 tbsp
Ginger - 1 small piece
Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp
Whole black pepper - 1 tbsp Salt to taste |

METHOD
- Pour about 7 cups of water in a pot or pressure cooker. Add the rice and dhal together with turmeric powder, cook until until soft and a little mushy.
- Heat a little ghee in a large pan and brown the cashew nuts and remove it.
- Add the rest of the ghee and the oil and fry all of the remaining spices.
- Pour the fried cashew and the spices in the rice and dhal.
- Mix them well. If it is too thick, add a little water.
- Serve it with Sambar and Chutney.
