Idli

Ingredients:


Idli rice - 3 cups
Urad dhal - 1 cup
Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tsp
Salt as per taste
 
 

METHOD


  • Soak Idli rice, urad dhal and Methi together in water for about 5-6 hours.
  • Drain the water from urad dhal and rice and grind both separately in grinder or mixie with water and mix the items well salt.
  • Allow it to ferment for 15 - 20 hours.
  • Then make idlis in the idli steamer.
  • Steam the idlis on high for 10 minutes.
