CHANNA DHAL SUNDAL

 
 
 
Channa Dhal Sundal

Ingredients:


Kadala Parupu (Channa Dhal) - 2 cups
Salt to taste
Oil - 1 tsp
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
Asafoetida - a pinch
Urad dhal - 1 tsp
Curry Leaves - a sprig
Red Chilli - 3 nos
Green Chilli - 3 nos
Raw Mango - 1/4 cup (grated)
Coconut - 1/4 cup
Coriander - small qty (finely chopped)
 
 

METHOD


  • Soak Channa Dhal for 1 hour.
  • Cook the dhal in pressure cooker with salt.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add Mustard seeds, urad dhal, curry leaves and Asafoetida.
  • Add the Red and Green Chillies to the pan.
  • Now add the Cooked dhal and fry for a minute.
  • Garnish with coconut and coriander.
