Milk Barfi

Ingredients:


Milk - 4 cups
Fresh Lemon Juice - 2 tsp
Milk Powder - 5 tsp
Powdered Sugar - 2 cups
Ghee - 50 ml
Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp
 
 

METHOD


  • Boil the milk and sour it by adding the lemon juice. Hang it up in a muslin cloth to drain for 3 hours.
  • Now take milk solids, mix this well with the milk powder and sugar.
  • Heat ghee in a heavy pan and add mixture.
  • Stir well in the fire until the ghee separates.
  • Remove from the heat and mix the cardamom powder and allow it to cool slightly and blend it.
  • Put into a flat cake and cool completely.
  • Cut into squares and decorate it with silver foil if need.
