Quick tips to look pretty this season

Pamper your body, experiment with styles and stay beautiful.

1. Get into the habit of washing your face in the morning and at night with a soap-free face wash. Avoid soap as it disturbs the pH balance of the skin, thereby making it drier.

2. Exfoliate your face and body at least once a week to remove dead cells. Use a gentle face scrub with ingredients like apricot, walnut or neem as they effectively clear blemishes and grime.

3. Always follow-up with a toner to remove any left over dirt. Avoid alcohol based toners as they dry out the skin.

4. Your daily routine should include moisturising. Apply a good moisturising lotion twice a day.

5. If you spend a lot of time outdoors, remember to use a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15.

6. Give your eyes lustre with a traditional kajal.

7. To give your eyes that extra brightness, it is essential to treat them gently. Try a home facial with cucumber slices for your eyes. Also, use a good under-eye cream to moisturise that area, reduce dark circles and puffiness.

8. Taking good care of your hair makes all the difference. Pamper yourself with deep-conditioning oil treatments for your hair. Use a hair oil that is appropriate for your hair type.

9. Pick the right shampoo for your hair. After a shower, remember to use a detangler and conditioner to keep your hair moisturised.

10. Always take off makeup before going to bed with a good cleansing milk. You can even keep face wipes handy.
