Top Makeup Tips for Indian Skin

Top Makeup Tips for Indian Skin:

    1. If you have oily skin, first apply astringent lotion and wait for five minutes. Then do the makeup as you like.
    2. Strictly stick to yellow-based foundations, even if you have rosy cheeks. This is because yellow base tends to suit to Indian skin better. You can also reclaim the rosy cheeks with a blush.
    3. Use a color that matches the natural color of your brows or a shade lighter than that to fill in the gaps in the eyebrow shape. Avoid using eyebrow pencil for the monsoon season and thread your brows regularly to keep them in shape.
    4. It is well-known that Indian hair is naturally beautiful. So what you need to do is just maintain that healthy, shiny-looking hair. Condition your hair regularly by using a shampoo.
    5. If you have a darker skin, use a shade of deep brick red or plum burgundy and swipe that on your lips. Use a matching lip liner underneath for a clean look.

Some of the shades that most Indian skin tones can wear are as follows:

    Lip Shades

Red, salmon, apricot, plum, lavender, berry, and pink.

    Eye Shades

Indians look stunning in shades of dark brown, copper, beiges, and prunes. Do not use skimmer on darker skin. It ends up looking overdone. Kaajal pencil can be used to outline the eyes. It is a traditional cosmetic item that is liked by many Indian women. It makes you eyes look appealing and cool.
Indians generally have a pale yellow-toned skin and black hair. These are best complemented by soft, warm colors. Lilac eye-shadow can be tried over your eyelid, because this pale color is a better option than using darker eye-shadows. This is particularly because the eyelids tend to be quite small. Also benefit from the use of eyelash curlers because Indian eyelashes are often poker straight.

    Cheeks
Colors in peach and coral can be tried. Women with a dark skin do not generally need a blush, but if they still want to, they can try pink and red. The darker your skin, the darker your blush should be to give fitting looks. Chose colors according to your skin tone and pose a stunning look always.
So I think the list of makeup tips for Indian skin must have benefited you. My dear Indian friends, please do add more to this article so that all of us can learn.

Wow. These are pretty exhaustive. I am very much interested in beauty too and look for good advise. I also write a few articles of my own. I have contributed this detailed make up tips likst here

A few ones that I personally follow are:

    a. Apply foundation with a sponge to give your face a sheer look. For more coverage apply it with your fingertips.

    b. Choose a bronzer a shade or two darker than your skin tone to avoid looking orangey.

    • If you have oily skin, before applying make-up first apply astringent lotion and wait for 5 min then do make-up as you like.
    • Consider makeup that is a shade lighter than your skin. The reason is because makeup tends to turn a shade darker once it mixes with the skin’s natural oils. This point even hold true if you are going to spend time outside where you will sweat. Sweat has sebum which again turns foundation dark.
