Have you heard of Japanese cake? Actually this cake is called Japonaise cake which has constantly been refered as Japanese cake. This did not travel from Japan for sure. This is a French Pastry known as “Almond Meringue Torte” which is an older cousin of modern day Macaroons.

I came across an article in a website which kidnapped me to my childhood days where, watching some of this soap serials was like a ritual.
I remember the days when my grandma used to sit in front of the TV during prime time to watch these serials even though some extended for years.
