Kanjivaram gives Indian feel to Oprah Winfrey

Designer Tarun Tahiliani says what went into the customized design of Oprah Winfrey's burnt orange with a fuchsia pink Sari.

Popular international celebrity and TV mogul Oprah Winfrey is making waves in Bollywood on her Indian visit. Of course, how could she miss the Indian traditional outfit - sari!!!

Oprah attended a dinner at Parmeshwar Godrej's house in Mumbai and was seen wearing a burnt orange with a fuchsia pink Sari. The sari was specially designed for her by Tarun Tahiliani.

Says Tarun, "The sari was customized for her. We purposely choose an orange pink shade as it complimented her skin tone". The sari was a Kanjivaram with silk brocade paired with a gota and antique zardosi embroidery blouse. The blouse and the sari were embellished with tiny antique studs.

"The Kanjivaram gave that added Indian feel to the outfit", smiles Taru
