    Exercises to get rid of the double chin

    Excess fat may cause a double chin, which may make you look years older.

    The chin is one of the most difficult areas of the body to lose weight or tone and firm, especially since spot targeting is a myth. However, certain exercises can help firm up the muscles of the jaw, chin and neck. Combined with diet and exercise, getting rid of a double chin or reducing its appearance can be achieved.

    Platysma

    The main facial muscle that affects a double chin is the platysma, the muscle located at the front of the neck. This exercise helps firm the neck, throat and jaw line to get rid of a double chin. Stand up straight and relax your face. Lift your head up so you are looking at the ceiling. Pucker your lips and stretch your lips out, as if you are trying to kiss the ceiling. Hold for five seconds, relax, and repeat five times.

    Smooching

    We don't mean actual smooching someone for this exercise, but pretending you are. Standing or sitting at home, at the office or in the bathroom, lift the face toward the ceiling. Feel the stretch at the front of the neck. Now, purse your lips together like you're getting ready to plant an exaggerated kiss on someone. Push the lips upward toward the ceiling. You should feel more of a pull all along the front of the neck. Hold the pucker for about 2 seconds and then relax. Repeat the pucker part 20 times and then lower the face. You can do this exercise as many as three to five times a day

    Neck flexion

    Neck flexion is a motion that involves moving your head forward. In order to do this exercise, you need a weight plate wrapped in a towel. Position your body face up on a weight bench with your head hanging over the end of the bench. Hold the plate on your forehead. Tip your head backward, then move it forward as far as possible. Slowly lower it back down and repeat. When doing this, feel the contraction on the front of your neck.

    Isometric exercise

    An isometric exercise is performed without repetitive motion. Perform a double-chin isometric exercise from a seated or standing position with your gaze fixed forward. Place your hand on your forehead and apply pressure into it as you move your chin forward. You should feel your neck muscles working at this point. Hold until you feel fatigued, take a short rest and repeat.

    Head tilt

    The head tilt exercise has two variations. For the first one, sit in a chair and tip your head backward until you are looking straight up. Move your lower lip over your top lip as you jut your chin toward the ceiling. Slowly lower your chin back down and repeat. For the other variation, assume the same starting position. This time, open your mouth as wide as possible and hold for a second. Close your lips, push them straight in the air and hold again for a second. Alternate back and forth.

    This is an incredible double chin exercises, I ll tell to my wife to try this exercise because she has double chin and she always get depressed.... I hope she ll love this...

    I also have double chin and these exercises seem easy. Will practice these regular to get the unwanted fats from my chin
