    Anulom Vilom Pranayam

    How to do it:

    Breathe in from one nostril whole and breathe out from other vice-versa for 15 min to 30 min

    Precautionary measures that are to be followed in Anulom Vilom Pranayam are:


    • When breathing you must breathe into your lungs and not your stomach.
    • No organs in the stomach should not be filled with air.
    • Must be performed slowly whenever done.
    • While performing this asana you must be in a relaxed posture and should not stress out.

    Some more benefits of Anulo Vilom,

    How it makes your brain work/function better.

    God has given us 2 brains, left and right they both work differently one is side Love/Passion/Creativity etc and other side is Logic/Reason/Objective etc. In simple words one side of brain is YES and other is NO.


    Example: when you are about to get in morning, one side of brain says “Get up “ other side says “Sleep”, We make right decision when both sides are balanced and then you choose the right thing. If both brain are not balanced we cant make right decision.


    AnulomVilom concentrates the oxygen flow to each brain side one by one. So we get more oxygen to both sides of our brain. Now you may question when we breathe oxygen goes to lungs of course it does and increase oxygen in our blood which still goes to brain eventually, But If you may have noticed the brain’s bottom is opened inside near nostril inside. So when we concentrate oxygen by closing one nostril, oxygen brain cells get stimulated making both sides balance.
