What is your opinion for the change of the Tamil new year frin April 14 (Chitirai 1) to January 14 (Thai 1) Give your opinion about this?

Government can change but tradition cannot be changed
The tradition is followed what our fathers and forefathers did. It would be shameful if we change now our new year. It would be a disgrace to all our ancestors who celebrated that day in gaity.
Our elder peoples may have some specific reasons for selecting and celebrating the April 14 as the tamil new year.
I am sure the people will reject the new date and the old date of April 14 will stay as per the wish of the people.
