Sugar is one of the most addictive substances in the processed non-foods world.
It doesn't matter either whether it is brown sugar either, it still goes through processing and can cause addiction. When the body takes in a large amount of sugar at one time it paralyzes the immune system for a few hours. This is due to the over stimulation of the nervous system. Sugar overdose is not without consequence.
For melanin dominant people of the world the addiction to sugar is even greater to break because of the binding property of melanin to acidic substances. So the breaking of such an addiction will take twice as long.
If you are suffering from Sugar addiction it is always time to begin the journey to a healthy freedom.
A few steps to consider in the process of change is:
1. Give up the sweetest treats first.
2. Increase your water intake by drinking in between meals instead of drinking and eating at the same time.
3. Take a natural fresh fruit sweet substitute when you find yourself craving. Mango, pineapple, apple, grapes, etc.
4. Develop a Sugar Detox Regimen and commit to it for at least 24 months.
