How to reduce uric acid levels in body

How to reduce uric acid levels in body

Uric acid level increases in body when the body produces too much of it or fails to expel it efficiently.

Simply put, Uric acid is a waste product resulting from the metabolism of food and the level of uric acid in your blood can elevate if your body produces too much of it or if it doesn't efficiently flush it. To avoid complications, it is very important to keep your diet in check.

    Check your diet
    - Avoid eating foods high in purine ( chemical that causes production of uric acid in the system)

    - High in purine foods: Red meat, meat extracts, Shell fishes, a few beans, organ, meat, asparagus, peas, mushrooms and cauliflower.
    - Use less salt while cooking. Avoid adding salt while cooking rice or in the chapatti dough.

    - Use adjuncts like tomato, vinegar, cocum, amchur, lime juice, curd, pepper powder cut down on salt intake.

    Fructose no no!
    - Limit your soda consumption.
    - According to Livestrong.com , in an article on the Arthritis Today website, "researchers found men who drank more than six servings of high fructose soft drinks each week, increased the occurrence of gout. Although diet soda is not implicated, fruit juices and other sugary drinks are."

    Limit the intake of alcohol
    - Alcohol dehydrates the body so its best to avoid it. Though wine doesn't affect uric acid levels, the yeast content in it makes it a bit risky.
    - Limit your intake if you are drinking beer.

    Reduce inflammation
According to Livestrong.com, "University of Maryland Medical Center advises adding cherries, blueberries and strawberries to your diet. Bromelain, found in pineapple, is a digestive enzyme with anti-inflammatory properties that inhibits the proteins responsible for inflammation,"

Celery, a natural diuretic, helps alkalize your blood and decrease inflammation. Try a thimble full of seeds each day or take it in supplement form.

    Weight issues
Weight gain or obesity is directly related to high uric acid levels. Develop a gradual weight-loss program to prevent an increase in uric acid levels.

Drinking water and staying hydrated is very important. Water dilutes uric acid levels in the blood and acts as a catalyst to expel the waste products out of the kidneys to the bladder.

    Ph Levels
According to Medline Plus, high acid levels in the blood, called acidosis, is associated with the body's uric acid level. A pH level less than 7 is considered to be acidic. To keep your body alkaline, add apples, apple cider vinegar, tart cherry juice, baking soda and lemons to your diet.

I agree with the details mentioned above. Anyway I would also like to add another thing. Here in our country we are fond of eating animal inner parts like liver, intestines, and etc. These kinds of foods can increase the amount of uric acid extremely.
