    Hi @ druchita
Protein should be roughly 45 - 55 Gms per KG body weight.
It should be minimum10 % of your daily calorie intake but shoud not go beyond 35 % of your daily calorie intake.

If you're watching your weight, try including protein with every meal. It will help you feel full longer. Spreading protein evenly across your meals is also good for your muscles, which is especially important as you get older and start to lose muscle mass.

    Fiber intake
Women need 25 grams of fiber per day, and men need 38 grams per day
Avoiding refined grains -- such as white flour, white bread, white pasta, and white rice -- and replacing them with whole grains is a great way to boost the amount of fiber in your diet.
    Hope Iam clear.

    Hi Girija
Iam very sorry to0 hear about your father's suffering.
As you told he is having Tb spine with meningitis. When he is not taking anything orally, only by IV fluids it can be corrected. If he is hospitalised, then surely they would have tried this. Inspite of this , Na is not improving means may be due to other organs not responding to the treatment.
The chances are remote only and too much suffering only. So please pray for him.
Iam very very sorry, I can understand your feeling for him.

Re: Ask our Health Expert Dr. Prema

    Hi @ vasanthi
Vitamin K2, is a fat-soluble micronutrient belonging to the vitamin K family. Collectively, K2 and K1, play a critical role in your body’s blood coagulation process. A deficiency of vitamins K1 and K2 could lead to uncontrolled bleeding.
Researches showed that an elevated intake of K2 -- most notably the K2 -- lowered the risk of coronary heart disease. No comparable benefits were observed for K1
K2 occurs naturally in animal-based foods, most notably meats and poultry. In addition to meat and poultry, K2 occurs naturally in a number of other animal-based foods, most notably cheese, eggs and butter.

    Hope this clarifies your doubt.
