    > What are those we have to follow to be Hygienic during normal days?
    > மாதவிடாய் சமயங்களில் எப்படி நம்மைச் சுத்தமாக வைத்திருக்க வேண்டும்?
    சுத்தம் சம்மந்தமான எந்த விஷயத்தையும் இங்கே பகிர்ந்துகொள்ளுமாறு தாழ்மையுடன் கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறேன்.

    நன்றிகளுடன்

steps to follow to be Hygienic during normal days:

    Bathe or shower every day
. This helps get rid of dead skin, sweat and dirt produced during the day. Use a gentle, nice-smelling soap or bath gel. Although, washing your hair can dry your hair out, as shampoo gets rid of your hair's natural oils. It's better if you shampoo and condition your hair every other day. However, many people who have fine or thin hair may need to wash their hair every day. To do this and avoid split ends, try applying shampoo only on the top half of your hair.

Make sure to always use a good deodorant. Try not to use ‘’antiperspirant’’ often, as it contains chemicals that deodorant does not.

Keep in mind that clean underwear and clothes are a must! Do not wear clothes with stains and what-not on them.

Don't forget to comb your hair. Knotty, frizzy, and unkempt hair is unattractive. Wash it regularly, as well. If your hair is really not cooperating, and you don't have time to wash it, throw a hat on, or put it up.

Clean and cut your nails (this includes toenails). Wash your feet regularly, too. Wear socks as much as possible to help keep your feet clean.

Brush your teeth, floss and use mouthwash at least twice a day. Your smile will look better after! If you want, you could also whiten your teeth. Just make sure not to overdo the whitening. You don't want your smile to look fake, and whitening your teeth too much can damage your enamel.

Clean your ears. No one would like to notice waxy, dirty ears.

In reality there is only Now. If you know how to handle this moment you know how to handle the whole eternity-Jaggi vasudev .

steps to follow to be Hygienic during mensuration days:

    Extra Care During Menstruation

During menstruation, the lining of the uterus is shedding and menstrual blood comes out of the vagina. While menstruation can be messy, it is easily controlled with a tampon or pad. However, once the blood is exposed to the air, it can produce an odor. A strong odor should not occur unless the person does not bathe often enough. To minimize odor and staining of clothes, washing the genital area at least once a day is recommended. It is also recommended to change a tampon every four to six hours (a pad every two to four hours), which will help control the odor and the collection of blood.
In the past, women would use cloth to collect their menstrual fluid. Some would wear cloth as an outer protection; others would bundle up the cloth and place it inside their vaginas for inner protection. Today, there are sanitary products for collecting menstrual fluid that are more absorbent, comfortable, and convenient. These products include tampons and pads. Choosing the kind of protection to use is a personal choice. Some women use only pads, some use tampons during the day and pads at night, and others use solely tampons. Pantiliners, small pads, are also available for light flows, discharge, or use with a tampon.

Have a sanitary protection kit (disposable feminine pads and belts) handy
Wash your external organs as pften as necessary. Change your pads and underwear frequently
Have extra pads and underwear when you are away from home.
Dispose of your used pads properly by wrapping them well and throwing them into a waste basket.
After urinating, some girls keep their genitals dry with white toilet paper.
Always wear a clean underwear. Change it as often as needed. Never lend your underwear nor borrow from others. Bring extra with you where ever you go. Keep them in a clean box or cabinet after pressing.
Some girls feel some pain and discomfort in the lower abdomen at the start of their period. With exercise and proper diet, you may be relieved of such.
Even during your period, take a bath to refreshen yourself. Your menstruation might stop temporarily, but that is normal.

Wash your hair. You may wish to wash your hair more frequently than usual during your periods if it is oily.

Soap up, but avoid getting soap on mucous membranes or inside your vagina. This is because the pH level of your vagina is regulated by the body in order to keep away vaginal infections - soaps upset the balance, making the vagina more susceptible to infection. Wash the surrounding skin, but not the inside of your vagina or labia.

Wash your hands once more if you wish, to remove any residual odor.

    Hygiene during Your Daughter’s Period

Naturally you’ll want to teach your daughter to keep up with her normal bathing habits while menstruating but whether she decides to take a bath or shower is more about personal choice. There is no harm in taking a bath while menstruating. Rather it is a wonderful and natural way to relax and ease cramps. A quick shower rinse before stepping out of the tub can take care of any concerns about blood leaking in the bath water.
Even though your daughter keeps clean during her period she may still be concerned with odor while menstruating. Address her concerns but also reassure her that most of the time odor is only noticeable to her. If she is not allergy sensitive then using a lightly scented pad may help ease her mind.
You can also try feminine wipes or keep a supply of wash cloths handy for her to clean herself with each time she changes her pad. When to put in a fresh pad will depend on the amount of flow your daughter is experiencing. Be sure to check in with your doctor if either of you notice the odor to be especially foul smelling.
Even though we’re using more than just rags for protection it’s inevitable that leaks on clothing will occur. Treat stains using cold water as soon as possible. Try rubbing salt directly on the stain or presoaking in hydrogen peroxide for 15 to 20 minutes before tossing into a regular load. To lessen the worry over stains, you can always buy her a set of dark colored underwear to use when she’s menstruating.
All in all being “on the rag” is a lot easier than it ever has been. Passing this information on to your daughter is another opportunity to support her in feeling secure and confident when it comes to taking care of herself.

    Stay hygienic and safe

Lack of access to menstrual hygiene (sanitary napkins, safe disposal, access to toilets and availability of water) could contribute to both urinary and reproductive tract infections (UTIs and RTIs), according to a recent study. Even though most of us have access, we need to maintain menstrual hygiene to ward off risk of infections. Here are wise words from Dr Shalini Rajaram, director professor, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, University College of Medical Sciences & Guru Tegh Bahdur Hospital and Dr Indu Bala Khatri, consultant, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Moolchand Women's Hospital, New Delhi.

    Change your pad regularly
Make sure you use sanitary napkins from reputed brands as these are sterile and can protect you against germs. Change your pad every three to four hours. If the flow is heavy, then it must be changed as soon as it's soaked to prevent infections. Keep it clean down there. After urinating, especially during the days you're menstruating, wash the vulval area and wipe with a wet tissue from above downwards. Change the pad even if it's not stained. If you wear a pad before the onset of periods to avoid staining, change it at least thrice a day to avoid bacterial infections. Consider using panty liners instead, as they are less bulky and provide adequate protection.

    Visit a gynae
If you are prone to rashes and odour during your period, visit a doctor to rule out chances of infection or an allergy. Stay protected at night. To avoid staining when you are asleep, wear a well-fitted panty and use long pads with wings.

    Trash it right
Wrap the pad in the envelope that it comes with or in paper and throw in the bin. Never flush a pad, even if the packet says so.

In reality there is only Now. If you know how to handle this moment you know how to handle the whole eternity-Jaggi vasudev .
