Heart Rate of foetus & Gender identification!?

    Dear Mothers,

My wife had stepped into the 2nd trimester, as per the Gynaec's suggestion we went for scanning and there we could find the heart rate as 166 for the foetus.

    My question is ,
Does the rate of heart beat of the foetus determines the gender?

To be clear; The more the heart rate ie, more than 160 the baby might be a girl and if it is less than 150 or close to 140 people say it might be a boy. Some says it is a 'old wive's tale'. I wish to have a girl n my wife goes for a boy (we love to have any).

We relish the parenthood from now on, I knew that there cannot be a on-spot answer for this but a collective response can determine the science and facts behind this phase of pregnancy.

With the sharings here on the experience u had, these informations shall be useful as a study point of view.

I think it is "old wive's tale" and do not have any scientifically prove. If it gives any knowledge of gender prediction, your doctor could give you best answer. Best of luck.
