How To Get Rid Of A Heavy Menstruation

‘Bloody Mary’ or ‘Aunt Flo’ is that unwelcomed visitor who infiltrate into every woman’s life each month. Accompanied with cramps, headaches, mood swings, and all those things that a woman hates, it makes a woman’s life hell at least for those five days. Menstruation starts at an age of 12 for most girls and it stays with her like best-hated comrade until she reaches 50 or 51 to bid it a happy farewell. All is well until the unwelcomed visitor comes every month to mess with you. If the visitor doesn’t come, it can be messier. Though menstruation is a part and parcel of every woman’s life; it can be a cause of worry as well. Almost all the women across the world have a problem related to menstruation.

Menorrhagia or heavy menstruation is one such condition that can affect the physical as well as the mental health of any woman. You might find a zillion reasons for your impatience or those really bad mood swings of late, but little would you have thought that it was all because of that physical condition that you were going through. Here are some ways to help you from those seven days of nightmare.

    Ways To Prevent Heavy Menstruation
Heavy menstruation can be a uncomforting for any girl. However, at times experiencing heavy menstruation can be the result of many underlying problems, which needs proper care and treatment. But first you need to make sure that you have a heavy menstruation problem or not. The deciding factor will obviously be the number of days and the amount of blood flow. If you have your periods running for more than seven days with a blood flow that measures more than 80ml, you are in menstrual trouble. The first thing that you can do once detected with menorrhagia or heavy menstruation is to visit a gynecologist at the earliest. Given here are some ways to help you out from your monthly trauma:

    Visit A Doctor
Heavy menstruation can be the warning signs of many an underlying problem in your system and not an illness by itself. Visit a gynecologist and let your doctor decide on your condition, if it is serious or not. An ultrasound test done on you can help the doctor find the reason. Sometimes you might even have to undergo a pap smear and a hysteroscopy. Once you get the results you will be treated as per your doctor’s findings and this is one way you can get rid of that heavy menstruation.

    Vitamin K Deficiency
If you are having vitamin K deficiency you have a fat chance of getting heavy menstrual periods. This deficiency can be a lead player in causing many bleeding disorders as well as abnormal uterine bleeding. If that is the case, you can beat it by chewing down lots of green leafy vegetables. However, make it a point that you take vitamin K along with vitamin C for the maximum benefit. Like, make a salad of spinach with a little of lemon juice added to it or you can end a vitamin K meal with an orange. Sometimes taking coagulants, antibiotics and salicylates can cause vitamin K deficiency. Anything over done or ‘eaten’ can be harmful. So while gorging on your organic diet of vitamin K do not end up getting your blood clotted, as too much of Vitamin K can lead to a blood clot.

    Regular Menstrual Cycles
Women having irregular menstrual cycle as well as the women nearing menopause are likely to have a heavy period flow. A solution to this is by helping your body have regular menstrual cycles. Taking hormone pills or birth control pills will help regulate your hormones, and in turn, your menstrual cycles. Not only that, by preventing uterine lining to shed more regularly also can help prevent fibroids from forming up in your uterus, which is another reason for heavy bleeding.

    Endometrial Ablation
It is a medical procedure done to destroy the endometrial lining of a uterus. An alternative to hysterectomy, endometrial ablation is done for women who experience heavy menstrual bleeding or prolonged menstrual periods. However heavy menstrual bleeding can be the symptom of some other serious underlying problem. So it is best to get the advice of a gynecologist before taking any self medication.

Re: How To Get Rid Of A Heavy Menstruation

Heavy mensuration problems can be easily treatable by Homeopathic medicines and without side effects. But you have to consult a homeopathic doctor for this. The qualified experienced homeopath will ask several questions regarding the patients habits, likings, when she will feel better whether during winter or summer, her sleeping habits, her eating habits, husband-wife relationships and a lot. you must answer truly and without concealing any facts so that he will prescribe a medicine that will cure your problem permanently. Hence dear sisters please consult a homeopathic doctor for your mensuration related problems. If you don't know any doctor in your city, I will help by giving the doctors name and address in your city especially in Bangalore or tamilnadu. Please try.
