If you do braiding your hair dry it is look best to do it a few days after washing so that it is not so clean and slick slightly oily hair will hold a braid better If you tie a hair in to a ponytail with a hair tie your braid will be easier to handle and turn out easier hair oil.hair wash deep conditioning is this your weekend mantra Dont braid hair too tight Dont leave your braid on for two longer than two months keep your braids neat by re braiding at the sight of new growth condition your hair before you braid and after words pick a style that will not be streesful for your hair and scalp moisture and wash hair atleast once every two weeks
