    High protein and fatty diet like mats,nuts,cheese,fast foods,fried foods create fat and calories. Avoid all junk foods,dairy products eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Exercise is very important to loose weight. Go walking and running at lest 45 minutes in a day. It burns fat and keeps you fresh and active.

    In order to maintain good health, it is important to strike the right balance between exercise and diet. If your aim is to loose weight, then there is no need to starve yourself of the required nutrition. Make sure that you eat healthy. Stay away from the oily and fattening foods and make healthier choices.

    Hi friends,
    Iam' 5 feet' height and weight' 56kg'.Is it correct weight? I have tummy also. How i reduce my tummy.

    Hi Latha!

    Women: Ideal Body Weight (in kilograms) = 49 kg + 2.7 kg for each inch over 5 feet!
    To reduce tummy size maintain diet tips and regular exercise.

    Diet Tips:

    Drink sufficient amount of water.

    Avoid high calorie foods, such as chips, candies, cakes, sweets and other junk foods and processed foods.

    Take fresh food. Eat steamed vegetables or its soup. Also you can take baked fish roasted chicken etc.

    Take 5 to 6 smaller meals instead of 3 big meals.

    Exercise To Reduce Tummy:

    Tummy is a place where the skin and muscle are not tightly drawn to bones. That is why due to excess fat tissue and gas problem, the belly comes out like an air filled balloon.

    So the effective belly exercise is to draw the skin and soft muscles inside. But a word of caution. Do not over strain. Exercise should be done within comfort only. Slowly over days only you can increase the quantum or time. Any time you feel uncomfortable, stop it. Resume it only when you are comfortable.

    While doing stomach exercise never holds breath. It should be either slow inhalation or slow exhalation.

    Now the exercise.

    This can be performed while standing, doing work, while walking, while comfortably lying down. I am explaining for posture when you are standing. It is similar in all positions.

    Stand normally. Take a normal breath inside. Stand erect with chest kept broad and shoulder raised and straight (without any force). Now, pull the stomach inside slowly to the maximum possible comfortable extent-simultaneously exhaling slowly. Do as far as possible. Release stomach; be comfortable for a few seconds with normal breathing.

    Repeat the stomach -in and breathing- out again as above. Then relax for a few seconds. Repeat the exercise for about 5 times. The same can be done for 5 times in the evening also. If any pain is felt don't do. Continue same pattern next day.

    After a few times you will know your capacity and comfort. Then you can do in short spells of 5 or 10, many times in a day. The same can be done at any time any place, without others even noticing it.

    Exercise should not be done on full stomach and immediately after food.

    You should walk every day 30 to 40 minutes with a good walking speed.

    You could do some crunches every day.

    Hi gkarti,
    Thanku very much for your immediat reply.I always take low fat food[iam pure vegetarian]and daily Moring and evening 15 minutes brisk walk.then also no use.

    In order to reduce the weight, you can follow the below:

    Take plain GREEN TEA, without milk, 4 times a day.

    You can take 6 small meals instead of 3 full meals.

    You can have your dinner before 8 p.m.

    After this, you should go to sleep only after two hours.

    You can go for a small walk, after 2 hours of your dinner.

    Try to avoid fried items.

    Take lot of protein rich foods, instead of Carbohydrate rich food.

    During dinner, try to avoid, carbohydrate food.

    Hi Lakschellam,

    It is always better to do the exercises in the early morning. When we do it in the early morning, the ENDORPHIN will secrete, which will keep the brain very active, for the whole day.

    After food, only after 2 hours, we can do mild walking. We should not do sternous exercises after food.

    We can do climbing upstairs. It will help us to reduce the belly and thigh muscles.

    But please don't do this after food.
