    Hyacinth Beans (Avarakkai) - One cup of Hyacinth beans provide 722 calories and contain 3.5 gram total fat, 44 mg sodium, 127.6 grams total carbohydrates, 50 gram of protein and sufficient iron and calcium. Thus it can help people recovering from anemia and play a role in strengthening bones.

    The consumption of the cooked seeds will reduce or eliminate fever, and strengthen and give tone to the stomach. The seeds are antiseptic. The juice extracted from the pods is used for inflammation of the ear.

    The infusion of the leaves is used to check excessive bleeding during menstruation, acute abdominal pains and inflammation of the urethra and vagina.

    The pods may be white, yellow, brown, purple or black, and as well as being a source of protein also contain the minerals, calcium, iron and phosphorous, while the young, tender seed pods are rich in thiamin (vitamin B1) and are a source of vitamin C.

    The beans are used for the treatment of alcoholism, as an antidote to poisons, for reducing blood sugar levels, and in the treatment of nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. They have also been used for sunstroke, and to get rid of intestinal worms.


    Note : The root must "not" be used because its poisonous.

    Green Beans - Green beans are very rich in number of nutrients such as vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, manganese, iron, potassium, folate, calcium, magnesium and thiamin.
    It Increases the hemoglobin count and provides energy to the body without adding any calories and curing frequent urination.

    These beans are filled with healthy dietary fibers that help in the prevention of cholesterol. These fibers are also beneficial for diabetic people as they help in preventing the sugar levels from rising up immediately after having a meal. It has a good source in improving eyesight.

    Green beans are also helpful in energizing the body as they are rich in iron. And also help in improving the immune system of the body as they are a rich source of Vitamin C.This vitamin helps in stimulating the white cells to fight against infection by directly killing the bacteria and viruses responsible for these infections.

    A good diet for those suffering from diabetes. It can be helpful in Reducing and preventing inflammation of the joints in case of rheumatoid arthritis and Promoting good colon health and aids in preventing Colon Cancer.

    Karthi,,, THank you for today's tip,,

    I also came to know one info jus recently but not sure,,, that is - for people suffering with insomnia wen given beans @ night will help them sleep ,,,,
