    Health Tip of the Day!!-durian.jpg

Durian Fruit (முள்நாரிப் பழம்) - Largest nutrient content in durian primarily reaches 124 kcal calories in a dose of 100 grams, 28.3 g carbohydrates, 2.5 grams protein, 2.5 grams fat and 1.4 grams fiber. The content is very useful to enhance the vitality and passion for life.

The fiber content helps to protect the colon mucous membrane by decreasing exposure time and as well as binding to cancer-causing chemicals in the colon.

The durian fruit is a good source of antioxidant vitamin-C (about 33% of RDA). Consumption of foods rich in vitamin C helps the body develop resistance against infectious agents and scavenge harmful free radicals.

It also contains a good amount of minerals like manganese, copper, iron and magnesium. Manganese is used by the body as a co-factor for the antioxidant enzyme, superoxide dismutase. Copper is required in the production of red blood cells. Iron is required for red blood cell formation.

Durian is brimming with thiamin, A B vitamin which promotes a normal appetite and helps produce hydrochloric acid in the stomach for proper digestion of food.

Durian is also loaded with folate, one of the must-have nutrients for pregnant and planning to get pregnant women. Folate is essential for normal tissue growth and protect against brain and spine problems for the developing baby.

    Health Tip of the Day!!-blueberries1.jpg

Blue Berries - Blue Berries, being very rich in
anti oxidants like Anthocyanin, vitamin C, B complex, vitamin E, vitamin A, copper (a very effective immune builder and anti-bacterial), selenium, zinc, iron(promotes immunity by raising hemoglobin and oxygen concentration in blood) etc. boost up our immune system and prevent infections.

The tannins in blueberries help decrease inflammation, particularly in our digestive system, so eating blueberries may help reduce acid indigestion and relieve stomach ulcers. (Another bonus: they also promote urinary tract health.)

The high fiber content, those brilliant anti oxidants and the ability to dissolve the ‘bad cholesterol’ make the Blue Berry an ideal dietary supplement to cure many heart diseases. It also strengthens the cardiac muscles.

They keep you fresh, active, fit, sharp, close to nature and in a good mood, as they are very good anti depressants. You also need not spend a lot on medicines, neither are there any side effects. Remember, the deeper the color of the Blue Berries, the more they are rich in anti oxidants and other medicinal values.

While roughage (fiber) in Blue Berries keep away constipation (Of course, a single piece alone will not do. You need to eat a big handful of them), the vitamins, sodium, copper, fructose and acids improve digestion.
