Persimmon Fruit (சீமைப் பனிச்சை)- This fruit is low in calories (provides 70 calories/100g) and fats but is rich source of dietary fiber. Persimmon fruit contains polyphenols which can serve to reduce levels of bad cholesterol in the body.

Fresh persimmons contain anti-oxidant compounds like vitamin-A, beta-carotene, lycopene, lutein, zea-xanthin and cryptoxanthin. Together, these compounds functions as protective scavengers against oxygen-derived free radicals and reactive oxygen species (ROS) that play a role in aging and various disease processes.

Eating a persimmon fruit each day can help you prevent heart disease. Antioxidant compounds in persimmon fruit are able to maintain elasticity of blood vessels so there is no blockage.

    Zea-xanthin in Persimmon
, an important dietary carotenoid, selectively absorbed into the retinal macula lutea in the eyes where it is thought to provide antioxidant and protective light-filtering functions; thus, helps prevent "Age-related macular disease"(ARMD) in the elderly.

Eating fresh persimmon fruit is believed to relieve stomach pain or burning sensation of pain in the abdomen.

GLA also may be an inflammation fighter. In fact, GLA might reduce your nerve pain symptoms if you are diabetic.

Hemp seeds are a source of vitamin E, which can help to boost immune function and alleviate symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. Vitamin E also has a role in red blood cell formation in your body, and helps your body utilize vitamin K, which helps your blood coagulate or stick together.

It Supports healthy metabolism that aids in fat-burning for weight loss and Reduces hormones-related problems like PMS menopausal symptoms.

It also Helps reduce LDL cholesterol and improve cholesterol ratio and Supports healthy hair, nail and skin.

Hemp seeds can help you if you are constipated because they act as a bulk-forming laxative. Bulk-forming laxatives can improve the frequency and consistency of stools. Hemp seeds also traditionally are used to treat atherosclerosis, eczema and attention deficient-hyperactive disorder.

Hemp seeds have a very mild nutty taste flavor, even milder than pine nuts. You can add hemp seeds in your juices/smoothies or sprinkle into your oats or salad.
