    Donít Cross Your Legs Ė Itís Unhealthy:



    When the muscles of the legs and knees are not nourished and donít have good cir*cu*la*tion, then the extrem*i*ties stagnate, which can lead to varicose veins or broken capabilities and other problems. Look at the ankles of people age 40 and over who have the habit of crossing their legs. Note the broken veins and capabilities. When the muscles and feet do not get their full sup*ply of blood, the feet become weak and poor cir*cu*la*tion sets in. Cold feet usually torment the leg-crosser.

    A well-known heart spe*cial*ist was asked, ďWhen do most peo*ple have a heart attack?Ē He answered, ďAt a time they are sit*ting qui*etly with one leg crossed over the other.Ē When you sit, plant both feet squarely on the floor or a box if needed. Cross*ing your legs puts an unnecessary burden on your heart!

    Peo*ple who are habitual leg-crossers have more acid crys*tals stored in the feet than those who never cross their legs. Cross*ing the legs is one of the worst pos*tural habits of man. It throws the hips, spine and head off bal*ance and itís the most com*mon cause of chronic back*aches, headaches and vari*cose veins.

    Poor pos*ture can bring an unbear*able pain across your upper back and fatigue in your droop*ing shoul*ders. It can also cause sore*ness that shoots from the back of your throb*bing head to the base of your neck and down*ward to min*gle with the stiff*ness in your lower back.

    Poor pos*ture can cause weak*ness in your hips and loins, a numb feel*ing at your tail bone and often, a shoot*ing pain down your legs. Bad pos*ture can develop aches and pains all over the body. Be kind to your body and please donít cross your legs. You can break this habit.

    Make your own vitamin water. Add fruits instead of sugar for a natural sweetener Cut the fruit into paper-thin slices or small chunks. Combine ingredients with water. Refrigerate 4-6 hours and serve over ice. So delicious and very refreshing!

    The Mistakes Which Worsen Ulcerative Colitis?


    Simple things which You don't know or ignore can worsen your
    symptoms. If you know a dear one with Ulcerative Colitis please
    share this info with them.


    a. Certain foods can worsen your condition for sure. But that does
    not mean you have to eliminate the entire food group. That would
    cause malnutrition.


    b. Find good substitutes. Your condition often result in anemia and
    fatigue due to poor diet. Some have bleeding ulcers with diarrhea
    and poor appetite depleting the body of its nutrients. If you
    cannot tolerate folate rich foods like spinach try egg yolks or
    artichokes.


    c. If you have problem with solid foods, have smoothies or other
    nutrition drinks.


    d. Not drinking enough water increases the risk of dehydration.


    e. Lactose intolerance is a handicap of UC. And the worst part is
    that it deprives the body of your Vitamin D and calcium paving way
    for bone loss later on. Try dairy substitutes like soy.


    f. Do not stop eating if you have indigestion but have probiotics.


    g. Do not avoid fibre altogether if you have trouble with high
    fibre. Be a bit experimental and see what suits you and what not.
    It is better to have peeled fruits than whole fruits.


    h. Identify those foods that cause gas and avoid them. Sometimes,
    cooking them well helps.


    i. Do not avoid foods when you have flare ups. Take them little by
    little.


    j. If you have identified the foods that cause allergy, jot them
    down.


    k. No advice is good advice for all. Either find out your own diet
    plan or get the help of a nutritionist with your food journal.
