For high blood pressure

Dried apricots are fat-free and full of nutrients good both for blood pressure and cholesterol, such as potassium, lycopene, beta-carotene, and pectin. Plus, apricots are a particularly rich source of iron.

Rice Pilaf with Dried Fruits and Almonds

12 dried apricot halves
1 tablespoon low fat oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup jasmine or white rice or parboiled Rice
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
Salt to taste

1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 1/2 cups rwater ( increase or reduce the water according to the need)
1/2 cup golden raisins
1/3 cup slivered almonds, toasted
Fresh Mint and corrinder leaves (garnish)

1 . cut apricots with kitchen kniefscissor into small slivers

2.Oil in nonstick saucepan over medium heat. Sauté onion, rice, cardamom, salt, and pepper

3.In a pressur cooker or Rice cooker ,with enough water mix Rice miture with almonds, raisins and apricots and
bring to boil

when the Rice is cooked garnish with corriander and mint leaves
