The link between diet and cancer is complex This is because our diet is made up of lots of different foods and nutrients. Most of these affect our risk of cancer, often in combination with one another. The genes you inherit also affect the way diet influences your cancer risk.

1. Potato chips and french fries
Acrylamide is one of the many cancer causing agents.Potatoes are found to produce higher levels of acrylamide when fried or baked potato chips and french fries are unhealthy foods that cause cancer

If you eat a lot of pickled vegetables, you are more prone to tumors in your esophagus, which is one of the rare types of cancer. Cases of esophageal adenocarcinoma are unusually common in Japan and China where pickled vegetables are a major part of their diet.

3.White bread, pasta white sugar and rice
Anything that is white is unhealthy because white is equal to processed. White bread and pasta come from bleached flour
White rice is also on the list of acidic foods because it has a very high sugar content compared to brown rice.

4.Cured or dried meat
Cured meat is acidic food.During the curing process, a potent carcinogenic substance called nitrosamine is released. Nitrosamine is carcinogenic. Bacon, sausages cured pork and dried beef are foods that cause cancer because they contain high amount of nitrosamines.

5. Grilled or charcoaled meat
grilled meat is found to be one of the unhealthy foods because they produce chemicals called heterocyclic amines or HCAs.
These chemicals are formed when the fats and protein in the meat come into contact with high heat.

6.Smoked foods

Smoked foods may cause tumors in the stomach because of the carcinogenic substances called polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) that form on the surface of food during the smoking process.

The combination of hydrogenated oils, refined flour and sugar, and the frying process which produces acrylamides causes fried, sweet food to be potential cancer causing disasters

The following anti-cancer diet greatly lowers your risk of colorectal cancer and nearly all other types of cancers

1.Fats and saturated fats
Keep your diet low in total fat and very low in saturated fats /LDL)

2.Eat less total fat
Limit your daily fat intake to no more than 20 percent of your total food calories you average 2,500 calories a day, fat should provide no more than 500 of these calories you should eat around 55 grams of fat per day,

3.Eat the right fat

Unsaturated fats, found in plant foods, such as legumes
egetable oils that are high in monounsaturated fats, such as olive oil
Seafood, such as salmon and tuna, that is high in omega 3 fatty acids
Oils that contain more omega 3 flaxseed, pumpkin seed, canola, soybean (not hydrogenated), walnut, safflower, sunflower, sesame, and virgin olive oils

Use whole grain ,beans ,broccoli, carrots,pumkins,carrot and raw vegetables

Plants also contain phytochemicals . Substances that may help your body fight cancer The five major classes of compounds that occur in fruits and vegetables as natural blocking agents against carcinogens are: phenols, indols, flavones, cumines, and isothiocyanates

The vegetables most important to reducing the risk of cancer are the cruciferous vegetables : broccoli, cabbage, brussel sprouts, mustard greens, kale, and cauliflower.

8.Eat more soy products
Soy is a more healthful source of protein than mea women who eat more soy foods have less risk of breast cancer

Green tea has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells, possibly because of a phytochemical it contains called "catechins."

A balanced diet will help to maintain a healthy body weight, which can itself reduce the risk of many cancers.
