    Re: saffron during pregnancy

saffron don't change complexion, some peoples don't like milk and they avoid drinking, to give importance to drinking milk they added this myth.

by adding saffron, even the smell of milk changes and it will make you drink.

    Re: saffron during pregnancy

    Dear,

Saffron is safe to drink in pregnancy, if you are able to digest this combination and it doesn't give you acidity indigestion or loose stools then it’s alright.

Ayurveda is an ancient form of medicine and way of life; it is beyond a time of boost, bournvita or any other health drink. So saffron gives milk a flavour and easier to drink at this phase because many pregnant woman have a strong sense of smell and can be sensitive towards any food even milk. Milk being very high on calcium and essential for the expecting mother, a regular intake is advisable at this stage. Saffron has blood purifying properties to be able to improve the expecting mother’s immunity and general health which is a fundamental criteria for the well being of any individual. The growth development of the fetus depends on the mother's, hence Ayurved recommends taking saffron with milk during this phase.

    Take care…..

    Talking Re: saffron during pregnancy

Saffron is used mostly as a spice but it also finds use as a medical supplement. The health concern from taking saffron for pregnant or other women arises mainly when it is overused. Large doses can be particularly harmful during pregnancy. In general, it is considered safe to take saffron in doses smaller than 10 grams even during pregnancy.
