    Re: Pomegranate during pregnancy

    Hi Deepa,

    Warm welcome to 'Penmai'.

    Congrats for your pregnancy.

Sure, you can very well eat Pomegranate. According to Doctors, Eating pomegranate does not make any difference in baby's skin colour and it depends upon the cells already developed.

More over, during pregnancy, you only need about 300 extra calories each day in your second and third trimesters. However, you also need more of a number of essential nutrients, and it is best to get these extra calories from nutrient-dense foods rather than supplements. Pomegranates, with their juicy red pearls, are not only delicious, but they can also provide a number of nutrition and health benefits during pregnancy.

Heredity plays a big role in what your child will look like.

If you and your husband are fair, then you will likely have a fair child.

All the best and be happy for a healthy baby .
