Pact with Happiness

From now on every day when I wake up, I will say: Today I am happy!

I thank the sun for its warmth and light, I am happy that I can feel I'm living & breathing.

I enjoy all the features of nature: Free. No need to buy the song of birds or the murmur of sea waves. I feel the beauty of trees, flowers.

I will smile more often.

I will cultivate more friendships even with enemies.

I will not judge the actions of my neighbors or partners. I will improve my own actions.

I will call someone to say that I miss you!

I will maintain few minutes of silence, to have the opportunity to listen to my Inner Voice .

I will not regret nor be bitter about injustice. I will think what I can do to lessen its effects.

I will always remember that the past minute never returns; I will live every minute in a fruitful way.

I will not hurt anyone; I will forget things about which I cannot take any further action.

I will not think about what I have not and would like to have more, but I will think as to how I can be happy with what I have.
And the greatest asset I have now is my life itself.

I will read a poem and hear a song; I will dedicate them to someone I love.

I'll do something for my fellow man, without expecting anything in return, just for the pleasure of seeing someone smile.

I know that there is always someone who loves me.

I will spend a few minutes of thought to those who have gone before me so that they know they will always be sweet in my memory, until we shall meet again.

I'll try to give a little joy to someone, especially when I feel their sadness and their need to want to get closer.

And when the night comes, I will look at the sky, to see the stars and the moon and thank God, because today I was happy!
