    Makeup for different eye shapes

    Makeup for different eye shapes

No woman is born perfect but with the right sort of makeup nothing is impossible. The trick is to know how to apply make up that highlights your best features and covers your weak areas. Eyes are one feature that can be worked upon extensively. Depending on the shape of your eyes, you need to choose different colours and ways of applying your eye makeup.

    For deep set eyes
Women with deep set eyes should preferably use light shades of eye shadows. This will help your eyes to appear visually bigger. The eye colour should be applied on your eyelid from the inner corner of your eye to the outer and a bit further. Light colours should be applied in the middle of the lid, and darker colours - on and just above the socket line. Blend the darker shade up and out.

    For wide set eyes
For women who have wide set eyes, the range can be visually reduced if a darker shade is applied from the outer corner of your eye to the middle of the eyelid. Apply a lighter eye shadow from the middle of your eyelid to the inner corner of your eye. Blend in different shades in the middle of the eyelid.

    For close set eyes
Close set eyes are narrower than one eye width. For women like these, eyeliner should be used to draw a thin line along the upper eyelashes becoming thicker near the outer corner of your eyes. A very thin layer of eye shadow should be used from the inner corner of your eyes to the middle of your eyelid, while using tints starting from the middle of your eyelid to the outer corner. Remember to blend the colours well with a lot of mascara on the lashes.

    For down turned eyes
Since the eye structure is down turned, women under this category need to use the eye colour in strokes that go upward and out. Apply eyeliner close to the upper lash line and then blend in the shadow along the socket line in the outer two thirds of the eyes. For a better visual appeal, apply dense mascara.

    For Asian eyes
Light shades work well for women who are Asian. An eye pencil should be used to make a thick smoky line along the upper eyelashes. Use kohl for your lower lash and cover your eyelashes with two or three layers of mascara.
