    Winter snow is a beautiful sight for our eyes, but the cold weather can also cause many extra vision complications. Infections can be easily caused during the winter. Protect your eyes and keep them healthy with these tips in exception of any season.Tips for eye infections

    A black eye

    There are signs of more serious symptoms of a black eye. The symptoms are blurred vision, blood in the eye, or inability to move the eye, a black eye can generally be treated at home. Apply an ice pack to the eye for 15 to 20 minutes at a time, once every hour to reduce swelling and ease pain. You may also use a bag of frozen vegetables or ice cubes wrapped in cloth to protect your skin from freezing.
    Eye allergies

    Eye allergies cause red, itchy and teary. The source of allergy is whether itís pollen, pets or mold. If you canít eliminate the source entirely, there are ways to minimize its effect with eye allergy treatments. Wear sunglasses when you go outside as pollution causes irritation to your eyes. Use allergen-reducing covers for your bed if dust is the problem. Make a warm aromatic compress using the essential oils of chamomile, rose oil, or lavender. Heat the compress and let the healing effects of the oils that treat your eye infection.

    • You can also use the therapeutic juice of aloe vera as an eye wash.
    • You can put honey directly in your eyes or make a honey eyewash by using three tablespoons of honey in two cups of boiling water.
    • Make an elderberry blossom tea and use it as eyewash, to soothe your eyes.
    • Use artificial tears to moisten your eyes, to flush out the foreign body.
    • To reduce inflammation and itchiness you can keep cold bread over your eyes.
    • Prepare eye drops by mixing one tsp turmeric powder in 2 cups of water. Use this at least three times a day. Use it till the swelling subsides.
    • Prepare herbal eyewashes by using 1 tsp dried eyebright herb steeped in 1 pint of boiling water. Cool and strain this liquid and use it as eyewash.
    • Boil some acacia leaves in 2 cups of water for 5 minutes. Use this solution as a warm compress on the eyelids at least for 4-5 minutes.
    • You can make a warm compress by using chamomile, lavender, or rose oil for conjunctivitis.
    • Avoid swimming in chlorinated water.
    • If there is a burning sensation in the eyes, try using a soaked tea bag on your eye. Simply soak two tea bags in cold water for a few seconds and then place them over your closed lids. This cools up the eyes and treats the burning sensations.
    • Soak Aloe vera juice in a cloth to be placed over eyes to soothe. Aloe vera juice can be used as eyewash by following a similar procedure.
    • Natural eyes wash solution, which is an excellent remedy for eye infection. Boil a spoonful of coriander seeds in a cup of water. Sieve the solution and use the water to wash your eyes.Conjunctivitis and other eye infections often spread during the winter. Be sure to wash your hands and avoid touching your eyes if possible. Also avoid sharing any products that come in contact with your eyes, like makeup brushes. These are homemade tips used for avoiding infections.
