    Hi Maheswari,

You can try the following to beat the heat rashes.

    1. Take 1 cup of grated coconut , and 1/2 spoon of Jeera. Grind these well in a mixie, make it into a paste. Now apply this paste on the heat rashes. They will disappear, and this also helps us, in non -recurring of the heat rashes.

    2. Make a paste of sandal powder and apply over the heat rashes. This will cool the body, and helps the heat rashes to disappear.

Dear Maheswari, please click on the following penmai thread link for some remedies for skin heat rashes:

    Home Remedies for Skin Rashes

You can follow some of the methods described below which I am following regularly for avoiding the heat rashes and also to get the permanent relief from heat rashes:

First of all, you have to cool down your body. For that find an air-conditioned room and relax your body to cool off. Take a cold showeror bath to minimise the prickly sensation on your skin. Try one of the following methods:

    1. Use of Ice pack: To avoid heat rash from raging further, you must cool your skin. Pack some ice cubes into a sealed plastic bag and wrap it in a dish cloth. Apply to the affected areas for five to ten minutes. Repeat this for every 4 to 6 hours.

2.Soaking your body completely in the water solution mixed with little quantity of Baking Soda or fine ground oatmeal powder : In your bath tub, add few teaspoons of either baking soda or powdered oatmeal, mix it well so that it dissolves completely. then soak your body in the bath tub and relax yourself in the bath tub as long duration is possible for you. This will ease the itching sensation from heat rash. You will feel refreshed and your rash will heal completely.

    3. Absorb the extra moisture after bath by dusting yourself with baking soda, cornstarch or an absorbent powder such as unscented talcum powder. This absorbs excess moisture that causes heat rashes. Repeat this process often as possible.

    4. Lotions: Apply Smooth mentholated or calamine lotion on your skin to cool the affected area. Or gently apply gel from aloe vera leaf after washing the affected area and every time before applying you should wash the affected area.

    5. If you have developed blisters due to severe heat rash don't cover them with bandage cloth. Instead expose the rash as often as you can to fresh air. This helps the skin to heal more quickly.

Avoid wearing constrictive clothing and fabrics that inhibit perspiration from evaporating properly. Put on comfortably loose fitting cotton clothes.

    All the best. thanks
