    Home Remedies to Treat Boils on Head



    Boils are really annoying and painful. A boil is a type of bacterial infection caused by bacterium Staphylococcus aureus; it starts in oil gland or hair follicle. Boil firstly appears nasty red just like a pimple, over the time it become larger, and pus gets collected on the skin. The boil becomes large and extremely painful. Boil on the head is awfully aching when you comb your hair. Although it is considered as a minor problem, it would be wise to treat the irritating boil as soon as possible.


    Turmeric

    Add one teaspoon of turmeric in a glass of warm milk and drink it. Turmeric doesn’t work as blood purifier only, but also useful in treatment of boils. Drink it regularly for five to six days. Another way to treat boil with the help of turmeric is by adding turmeric equals to the amount of ginger in a ginger paste. Mix both effectively and apply the paste onto the boil. Cover boil with a clean cloth.

    Eggs

    Eggs can be used to treat the boils especially the white portion of hard boiled eggs. Boil and peel of the egg, wet the white. Now, apply the white directly to the boil and cover it with a clean cloth.

    Onion

    Onion works like magic to treat boils due to its antiseptic chemicals. Take a slice of onion and put it on boil and cover it with a clean cloth. Repeat the process continuously three to four times a day till it gets drains.


    Cornmeal

    Cornmeal can be proved one of the effective remedy against boils. Take cornmeal and add ˝ cup of water to mix the paste properly. Apply paste onto the boil, wrap it with a cloth. Repeat the process continuously three to four times a day until it gets drain.


    Washcloth compress

    Place a piece of warm cloth on affected areas it will give a great relief. For better result, you can use warm salted water but make sure that warm compress should be warm and wet also. Repeat the process for five to six times in a day.


    Tea Tree Oil
    Tea tree oil can be another effective treatment due to its antiseptic, antifungal, antibacterial properties. It can be useful in all types of skin problems. Take a drop of tea tree oil on a cotton ball then gently apply to boils. Repeat at least six to seven times in a day until you get ride of boils.

    Garlic and onion juice

    Add ˝ teaspoon of both garlic and onion juice each, mix it together and apply it on the boils for sometimes in a day until you get ride of it.


    Castor Oil

    Put some drop of castor oil on cotton ball then gently apply it on boils. Castor oil has such property that it will remove the poison out of the boils. Repeat the process for several days.


    Do’s and don’t

    Don’t pop the boils even if you are tempted to it.
    Wash your hands and those things which come in contact with boils.
    Drink plenty of water.
    Add more fruits and vegetables to your diet.

    Also you can make a paste of multani mitti with sandalwood powder in it and mix it with rose water and apply over the boils, it will get dry soon.
