    Fresh Mint leaves: You can chew 2 to 3 fresh mint leaves for few minutes that will give you an instant relief from the bad breath. It also whitens your teeth. You can even drink mint tea in the morning to feel freshness in your mouth and to combat bad breath all day long.

    Coriander: Its green lemony flavor will help you to temporarily remove the bad breath from your mouth. To get rid of the odor of raw garlic and onion, chew some of the coriander leaves. It is really good mouth freshener for those people who have bad breath problem due to medication. Chew few fresh leaves of coriander for 2 to 3 times a day to resolve the problem of bad breath due to medication.

    Parsley: Parsley is one of the usual natural mouth freshener that you can use after your meal to stay away from the ingredients of your meal that have strong odor. It contains chlorophyll that is used in different artificial mouth fresheners. If you make a habit to chew some of the parsley leaves after your meal, then you can stay away from the bad breath caused by odor-causing particles that stick in your teeth.

    You can also use homemade mouth wash of parsley and clove. Boil 2 cups of water with sprigs of parsley for around 10 minutes and then add 4 to 5 cloves in it and let the mixture become cool. Use it daily to stay away from the bad breath.

    Cinnamon: Cinnamon has the antiseptic property and you can use it as natural mouth freshener. You can make cinnamon mouth freshener at your home only by boiling 2 cups of water with the 2 medium sized cinnamon sticks. You can use it daily to swish your mouth, which will give you two benefits; one – it will work as the antiseptic to kill any bacteria present in the mouth and second – it will give you fresh breath.

    Cardamom Pods: You can chew one or two cardamom pods after your meal to control the bad breath. It acquires aromatic flavor that makes it perfect mouth freshener to get instant relief from the bad breath. You can also make the powder of cardamom seeds by crushing them and using it daily as natural mouth freshener.

    Anise Seeds: It is a Chinese spice used in the manchurian and noodles. Anise seeds have powerful aroma to give you relief from the bad breath instantly by just chewing some of the anise seeds. It is strong natural mouth freshener with licorice-like flavor that gives fresh breath for long duration of time.

    Clove: It is known as “chickentongue spice” in ancient China, which is spicy and super odor-eater mouth freshener that gives you relief from the bad odor. Clove contains eugenol that acts as antibacterial, and it will help you to get rid of bad breath problem as well as to treat your bad throat. You can chew 1 to 2 cloves for few minutes to treat the bad odor of your mouth. You can also use powdered cloves or clove oil to massage your teeth to reduce the chances of formation of plaque.

    Fennel Seeds: Masticate 5 to 10 fennel seeds daily after your meal to sweeten your breath. It contains essential oil that helps to reduce the growth of bacteria and also increases the formation of saliva to wash out any bacteria present in the mouth. So, make a habit to have fennel seeds in your pocket to chew it after your meal.

    Lemon Juice, Ginger Juice and Water: Mix 1 tsp of lemon juice and 1 tsp of ginger juice in the glass of warm water. Gargle this mixture twice a day to get rid of bad breath problem for long period of time.

    Mustard Oil and Salt: Mixture of mustard oil and salt will give you relief from the problem of bad breath right away! Make mixture of 2 tsp of mustard oil and pinch of common kitchen salt. Put this mixture in your mouth, do not swallow it. Try to swish it in your mouth and when saliva produces spit out by leaving the mixture in your mouth only. Repeat the procedure for 30 minutes and then spit out mixture with all saliva formed due to the mixture. Gargle with water.

    Baking Soda: It is one of the good remedies to easily resolve the problem of bad breath. Dissolve 2 tsp of baking soda in one normal sized glass of water and gargle for 1 or 2 times a day.

    Fenugreek Tea: If you have problem of chronic bad breath then you should try fenugreek tea to treat it. Take a teapot, full it with water and add some fenugreek seeds and sugar; boil it for 10 to 15 minutes. When your tea is ready, sip it slowly. You can drink fenugreek tea twice a day.

    Pomegranate: You can use pomegranate in two different ways to fight bad breath problem. Dry pomegranate peel in the sun and then mix it with water. Boil the mixture and rinse your mouth with it to fight bad odor.

    Or you can dry pomegranate peel in the shed and make powder of dried peel. Mix nearly 3 grams of dried pomegranate peel, lemon juice and ginger juice in the hot or cold water, and consume the drink to resolve the problem of bad breath.

    Other easy tips to eliminate bad breath:


    • Regularly brush your teeth twice; do flossing and gargle daily with homemade mouth wash to keep up dental hygiene.
    • One of the free of cost remedy to avoid bad breath problem is to drink more water throughout the day to wash out bacteria and stay away from the problem of dry mouth.
    • Mix tbsp of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water and use it to gargle once a day to eliminate bad breath.
    • Add fresh yoghurt in your meals to improve working of intestines that reduce the chances of bad breath problem caused by poor digestion.
    • Use olive oil in your meal to put the bad breath problem at bay.
    • To avoid the problem of dry mouth, consume citrus fruits to fight bacteria and treat the bad odor.
    • Eat avocados to resolve the problem of intestinal decomposition, which is known as one of the causes for bad breath.
    • Eat unripe guava that will help you to fight bad breath and reduce the formation of bacteria.
    • Chew few leaves of basil in the morning to stay away from bad breath.
