Pineapple is a tropical plant and its edible fruit It was given the name pineapple due to its resemblance to a pine cone.Columbus discovered this fruit n 1493 in the Indies and brought it back with him to Europe.

The plant is indigenous to South America and is said to originate from the area between Southern Brazil and Paraguay; however, it is important to note that little is known about the origin of of it.

Pineapple can be consumed fresh, canned or juiced and can be used in a variety of ways.
