    Baby sleep in cradle or in bed with me

    hi I have 2 months baby girl, my mil is telling i have to make her sleep with me only. i.e. in bed. not in cradle. Is it is right? I feel comfortable when she sleeps in cradle. Is there is anything wrong?

    Hi Geetha,

    Nothing wrong. Day time you put her in cradle.Night time put her in bed along with you. She feel secured.

    Its safe to put her by your side at night as in the cradle(thottil) there will a chance of suffocation because baby's head wont be strong till 3/4 months and cannot roll over till that time.and also she will feel secured at night if she is near you...You can put her in the cradle in the mornings as we are awake and will have a eye on the baby.. and also.. sleeping in the flat surface develops the habit of sleeping properly when she gets old for the cradle...
