    smoking and pregnancy

    Smoking during pregnancy must be avoided as it contains injurious components like carcinogens, lead, tar, carbon monoxide etc. They are supposed to increase the risk of cot death. Smoking effects the mental development of the fetus. The harmful effects caused by smoking during pregnancy include, ectopic pregnancy, vaginal bleeding, miscarriage, premature labor and the abruption of placenta.

    smoking is always injurious to health but it is avoid to smoke it may cause some complications

    hi jeniferlopez,
    i totally agree with you. smoking may cause miscarriage, pre mature birth. Babies whose mother smoked in the first trimester of pregnancy are more likely to have a heart defect at birth.Two compounds are especially harmful: nicotine and carbon monoxide. consumption of drugs and alcohol is too very harmful for the baby.
