    Indian Diet Plan During Pregnancy

Strict advice for pregnant women is an intake of Vitamin A must be controlled since it may cause damage to embryo.

Green Veggies and Greens should be included in your regular diet. Cabbage, Cauli-flower and greensve should be used alternately.

Must reduce an intake of brinjal, yam, onion, chilli, garlic, ginger, pepper, asfoetida, mustard, Pearl millet, carom seeds, jaggery from your diet. If you have any previous history of abortion, you must avoid these.

Pregnant Ladies who are suffering from constipation, gas pr bloating must avoid peas, potato and other cereals which are heavy to digest. You can intake green gram as it is easy to digest and gives protein.

Intake of Black grapes, banana, ripe mango, dates, cashew nuts, apricot are very beneficial during pregnancy. Butter, Milk, Honey, fennel Seeds, Sweets made from jaggery can be taken in very small quantity.

Intake of food items which are made from wheat and rice are very much beneficial.

Try to avoid items such as sandwich, bun, dhokla, pizza, pancake, steamed rice cake, curd, tomato, tamarind, burger as these increases swellings and acidity.

It is better to carry our fasts during pregnancy.

Do not eat left over, frozen & deep-frozen food.

Also Avoid cold drinks, mutton, Country chicken and half-boiled egg.

Tea, coffee & ice-creams can be taken in small quantity.
