    Proud to be a woman

    proud to be a woman

    God made us special
He made our arms to control the weight of world.
He made our sholders, our childs feel happiness on them.

In ancient India, women occupied a very important position, in fact a superior position to, men. It is a culture whose only words for strength and power are feminine -"Shakti'' means "power'' and "strength.'' All male power comes from the

feminine. Literary evidence suggests that kings and towns were destroyed because a single woman was wronged by the state. For example, Valmiki's Ramayana teaches us that Ravana and his entire clan was wiped out because he

abducted Sita. Veda Vyasa's Mahabharatha teaches us that all the Kauravas were killed because they humiliated Draupadi in public. Elango Adigal's Sillapathigaram teaches us Madurai, the capital of the Pandyas was burnt because Pandyan Nedunchezhiyan mistakenly killed her husband on theft charges.

Apparently in early Vedic times women also received the sacred thread and could study the Vedas. The Haritasmrti mentions a class of women called brahmavadinis who remained unmarried and spent their lives in study and ritual.

In modern world women degrading themselves as well as allowing others to degrad them.

Are we ,women aware of our power, values, rights and proper position in the family, in work place and in the society ?

By the by I am not a feminist.

Are you proud to be a women?

pls contribute your views, demands, worries and happiness here. Gentle men , you can also take part in this thread

    regards,
    viji

Thumbs up Re: Proud to be a woman

    Hi Viji,
Thanks for inviting guys also to share the ideas. It's true that in ancient days people realized the importance of Women. They even worshipped them. But later Women allowed men to be in charge and now struggling to fight for equality. Women are actually not equal to men, but superior than men in almost everything. It's a blessing to be a Female. Girls should first realize about their real Feminine strength, which is strong enough to keep any man on his knees. Women are Goddesses. In the past few decades, Women have grown from dust to sky. Current researches show that the Future is Female. I hope in the coming years, Women will regain their lost old place in the society and the future will be more bright. So come on Girls, realize your potential and be proud of being a Woman/Goddess. You Girls are special and you are the masterpiece creation of God.
