    How To Get Pregnant Fast?

I was aware that getting pregnant is not easy when you most want it to happen. It happened with me too. We were married for 4 years when we decided to have a kid. Once decided we were so impatient for it to happen that we could not wait. But as the months started to pass by, we realized it's not easy. We were too young to try fertility methods and our doctor suggested us to keep patient and keep trying. But finally after a lot of trials and errors it happened. Here's an article that every prospective parent should read if they want to get pregnant fast, really useful -

    Visit your Doctor:

As surprising as it may sound, the first step that you need to take as soon as you decide to go the family way is to visit your doctor. Your OB/GYN will review your medical history and discuss any possible issues that might come up during pregnancy due to current/family medical conditions. He/she may will then conduct a regular check up and prescribe some prenatal vitamins like folic acid, calcium, iron etc.

If you are a Thyroid/Diabetic patient, you should also meet your family physician to control them.

    Determine your Ovulation period:

The biggest secret to getting pregnant faster is knowing when you ovulate. Most women release only one egg each menstrual cycle, so there are only a few days out of each cycle when intercourse can lead to pregnancy. By knowing your fertile period, you can boost your chances of conceiving. You can consult your OB/GYN who can determine the ovulation period for you but in this method you need to visit him/her continuously for a few days. You can also find out when you’re likely to ovulate by using an Ovulation Prediction kit just sitting at home. If you have irregular periods, determining ovulation can be difficult. Try using an ovulation prediction kit as it would be more helpful.

Have Sex at the right time:

You only have a small window of time each month to get pregnant. Hence knowing it and utilizing it to the utmost is very important. Once you ovulate, the egg survives approx. 24 hours while the sperm can live in your fallopian tubes up to 3 to 5 days. Hence, you can plan to have sex not only during your most fertile days but also a little sooner (3-6 days before ovulation).

In case you are not sure when your fertile period will be, have sex often during these days. Thus, you will have healthy sperm in your fallopian tubes every day. Also, make sure you and your partner indulge in sex and that your partner ejaculates before the fertile period. The reason being regular ejaculation will keep new and healthy sperm in the semen, so that it can help you get pregnant faster.

    Work on the correct positions:

Having intercourse in the correct positions is important for those couples who have problems or difficulty conceiving. While we are not asking you to try each and every position given in the ‘Kamasutra’ (fun though it might be), having sex in a few positions best for depositing the male sperm as near to the female cervix as possible might work for you. The man-on-top, doggy style and side-by-side are some of the best positions to get pregnant.

    Lie down a while:

When trying to conceive, it is best to limit the amount of sperm that flows back out of the vagina. Hence, you have to lie down on your back and stay immobile for 20-30 minutes so that the sperm released is kept inside, giving it enough time to reach the vagina. So even if you need to pee real badly, you will have to lie down for a while after your lovemaking session.

    Enjoy it:

While all this lovemaking has an underlying purpose, it shouldn’t rob you two from getting some pleasure out of it. Don’t be stressed out in the rush to get pregnant. Remember, the gland that regulates the ovulation hormones doesn’t function well when you are stressed, which means delay in the ovulation cycle. Now you wouldn’t want that to happen, would you? So enjoy it will you can. Once you get pregnant, you may have to keep off sex in the initial months.

Having mentioned the tips on getting pregnant fast, here are a few things you need to take care of in your partner to make his sperm healthy, strong and plentiful.

    • Cut back on alcohol and smoking. These can cause poor sperm function, reduce the sperm count and raise the number of abnormal sperm.

    • Eat plenty of vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, dairy products, legumes and lentils that contain necessary minerals and vitamins like folic acid, calcium, and vitamins C and D to help create strong and plentiful sperm.

    • Indulge in regular exercising.

    • Avoid hot tubs, saunas, and hot baths, since heat kills sperm.

Ask your partner to make these lifestyle changes as soon as possible.

Your ability to get pregnant fast depends on a lot of factors; age and health being the foremost. If you are young and healthy, usually, you should get pregnant within three months. If you are under 35, keep trying for a year before seeking help. If you are 35 to 40, you have six months before you talk to a specialist. But if you are 40, it’s better to talk to an expert and take his advice beforehand.
