Vegetable Puff Recipe – Spicy Indian Street Food Ingredients: a low calorie recipe

  1. Puff Sheets (ready made)
  2. For The Puff Pastry Filling:
  3. 1-2 Potatoes (peeled, boiled and mashed)
  4. ' onion (chopped finely)
  5. ' cup green peas (boiled)
  6. ' carrot (grated)
  7. ' cup capsicum (chopped)
  8. 1 tsp garam masala
  9. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  10. 1 tsp chilli powder
  11. 1 tsp oil
  12. Salt according to taste

Making Vegetable Puff:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
2. In a pan, fry mustard and add all the vegetables (start with onion, capsicum and carrot), spices, salt and stir well for about 10 minutes. Leave aside to cool.
3. Line the puff sheets, fill the masala and fold the layers.
4. Bake the puffs for about 40 minutes or until golden brown. Tasty vegetable puffs ready to serve. Serve the Indian street food hot with sauce or spicy green chutney.
