    Hi Sonali Mukherje, For Indian Women of 5 feet 1 inch height, the target weight given in the chart given by Jayanthy Sister is 122 pounds i.e 55.34 kgs. Hence you want to reduce some 5 kgs from your present weight. For that you have to do regular exercises, walking, yoga, pranayama and also slight changes in your diet.
    Drink enough water.
    Go to gym and do exercises regularly
    or
    go to yoga classes. Do Yoga postures under the guidance of Guru, Perform Pranayaama practices
    Avoid deep fried items, non vegetarian food.
    Eat raw vegetables and fresh fruits.
    Avoid bakery products.
    Like this you can easily reduce your weight and attain the target. All the best. thank you!

    I am giving the chart for ideal weight , in kgs. also.

    Actually, one of my doctor suggested me the easiest way to calculate our ideal weight. Let me tell you also.

    We need measure our height in cms. Then subtract 100 from the measured height. That will be roughly our ideal weight. It may go 2 kgs more or less.

    hai sonali maam ,

    for ideal weight calculation formula is 45.5 kg for 5 feet. and add 2.3 kgs for each 1 inches increment.

    according to this formula ur ideal weight 46-47 kg.
    and u r overweight by 30%.

    and i too felt i was so fat and uncomfortable often. but i found out the solution.
    like that u too can do that. try to consume more liquid food than solid and do some bending excercise.

    (when u r alone put ur fav song in ur pc and try to jump and dance atleast for 30 mins) it make u feel happy as well as stress free.

    and don't forget to have food control over ur fav food bcos they are the enemies for the well planned diet...manage the calories of ur food. but don't stay with hunger.
