BE POSITIVE AND BUILD YOURSELF A BETTER LIFE


AT THIS time of year when the weather can be making you feel a little gloomy these five steps to positive thinking may perk you up.

1. A positive perspective can emerge only if you take a balanced view of any situation rather than a downbeat approach to problem solving.

2. Be flexible and adaptable when considering solutions to potential problems rather than feeling completely devastated if plan A doesn’t work.

3. When a stressful event approaches visualise yourself accomplishing the task instead of fretting about it.

4. If you’re feeling stressed take a little time out to calm yourself. Have a cup of herbal tea or try deep breathing.

5. If something positive does happen don’t simply move on to the next task. Bask in the moment and congratulate yourself on what you’ve achieved, big or small.
