Beauty yoga

The word yoga means "union" in Sanskrit, the language of ancient India where yoga originated. We can think of the union occurring between the mind, body and spirit. For these three to be integrated, emotion, action, and intelligence must be in balance

In Yoga, the body is treated with care and respect for it is the primary instrument in man's work and growth. Yoga Exercises improve circulation, stimulate the abdominal organs, and put pressure on the glandular system of the body, which can generally result to better health.

Breathing techniques were developed based on the concept that breath is the source of life. In Yoga, students gain breathing control as they slowly increase their breathing. By focusing on their breathing, they prepare their minds for the next step - Meditation.

Branches of Yoga

Bhakti Yoga or Yoga of Devotion

Raja Yoga or Yoga of Self-Control

Karma Yoga or Yoga of Service

Tantra Yoga or Yoga of Rituals

Jnana Yoga or Yoga of the Mind

The new yoga is the beauty yoga

A beauty yoga is the exercises of face based on yogic rules. It is believed that facial exercises can do a facelift that can tone and smooth the skin of the face. These face exercises are designed to tone up all the 57 muscles of the face and neck that can increase blood circulation and release tension (removing stress), restoring a radiant, youthful and glowing look.

Beauty Yoga is a fun, relaxing and enjoyable programme for everyday living

The face needs to be exercised and toned in the same way we exercise and tone our body.

Benefits include ~

g Slowing down the aging process

g Tones the facial and neck muscles, releases tension, increases circulation to both areas

g Improves complexion both in texture and colour, the face looks more relaxed but with firmer contours

g Helps to diminish jowls, fill out hollow cheeks, reduce puffiness around the eyes and eliminate double chins

g Releases tension and relaxes the upper part of the body, thus relieving headaches, stiff necks and general discomforts

g Promotes self confidence, self esteem and a sense of inner wellbeing

g One feels lighter and more uplifted

The Facial Yoga Programme includes mini postures, simple exercises to target specific areas of the face and neck.

Toning the circulation by working points on the face, neck and head through gentle accupressure and massage to release tension, eliminate impurities and give a glow to the skin.

Nourishing the skin inwardly through a good diet, essential supplements, relaxation, deep breathing and a positive approach to life reflects outwardly. Feeding and protecting the skin externally enhances this.

The most significant point about beauty yoga is that it is very cheap and can restore your youthful look without any plastic surgery or injections. If you regularly and patiently do the beauty l yoga, then you can expect your face appearing brighter and younger, erasing fine lines and wrinkles. All you need is approximately 15 minutes daily to do all the facial exercises. The facial exercising will tighten your sagging skin.

[h=1]7 Surprising Benefits of… Facial Yoga?!?[/h]
Aging gracefully” can be a frightening figure of speech in our world filled with anti-wrinkle crèmes and serums loaded with toxins and chemicals. But what if there was an easier, more natural way of boosting youthful beauty without harmful ingredients? Or even a cream?

  1. [h=2]It’s less expensive than cosmetic surgery and over the counter crèmes[/h]Unlike its overpriced competitors, facial yoga costs nothing! It requires only a couple of minutes periodically throughout the day. When compared to the time spent undergoing expensive treatments, or in the store purchasing nighttime crèmes (that aren’t guaranteed to work), it almost seems silly not to give facial yoga a try.
  2. [h=2]And it’s better for you, too[/h]As natural-living aficionados, Botox is at the top of our toxic no-no list. It is literally like a venom. Additionally, most anti-aging creams contain paraffins, mineral oil, heavy fragrances and other undesirable ingredients. Facial yoga is 100% natural and without harmful chemicals. No needles, no second guessing whether a “youthful glow” is worth the toxins or not.
  3. [h=2]It may slow down the aging process[/h]The more we smile, squint, or become tense, the more wrinkles we accumulate through the years. While this is a natural part of life, facial yoga can help slow the progression of aging. Specific poses assist in recognizing when we’re unconsciously furrowing our brows or pursing our lips. You’d be surprised how often certain facial expressions happen out of habit and contribute to deeper wrinkles and tension.
  4. [h=2]It releases tension[/h]Speaking of tension, did I mention facial yoga releases that, too? Well, yes! It’s incredible how much stress we carry around in our neck and face. Facial yoga adds awareness of those muscles and different ways to alleviate any tightness that you may carry around. It’s help some women recover from chronic neck pain.
  5. [h=2]Tones facial and neck muscles while maintaining a relaxed look[/h]Essentially, facial yoga is a form of exercise, which means it tones and tightens your face. As you exercise these muscles, you’re drawing blood, oxygen and extra circulation to this delicate skin, which can stimulate collagen production and emulates youth. Bring. It. On. And unlike the frozen look of botox or the red scarring of other procedures (chemical peel redness can last for several months), facial yoga gives you a natural glow and relaxed look. It is also meant to follow in traditional yoga’s footsteps with assisting to clear the mind of stress and turmoil.
  6. [h=2]Can help eliminate double chins[/h]Who doesn’t want to eliminate the dreaded double chin? Or jowls? Facial yoga can assist in eliminating both! This goes hand in hand with toning, but with more focus on the neck, which can sag with aging. In fact, in many Asian cultures, neck exercises are a beauty secrets believed to promote youthfulness.
  7. [h=2]Can boost self-esteem and confidence[/h]Let’s face it – when you look better, you feel better. My experience with facial yoga, so far, has been part humor and part confidence boost. I enjoy watching myself mimic the silly poses while knowing the practice is good for me!
