Deficiency of Vitamin K
Vitamin K deficiency is very rare and may occur in some cases in newborn infants. Newborn babies are often given a dose of vitamin K to prevent hemorrhagic disease.


Food Sources of Vitamin K
The main food sources of vitamin K are green leafy vegetables, yogurt and tomatoes.

Spinach, cooked (1 cup – 180gm) – 1027 mcg
Cabbage (1 cup) – 163 mcg
