Phil Heath is a 33-year old bodybuilder from Seattle, Washington, USA. He started his bodybuilding career in 2002. He entered the IFBB professional league in 2005 to become a professional bodybuilder. He won his first professional title in 2006. He is the current Mr. Olympia title-holder which he won in 2012. He had won the title in 2011 too. He is known by nicknames such as ‘The Gift’, ‘The Next Big Thing’. Four DVDs on bodybuilding have been released by him so far. Popular documentary director Jonathan McFarlane directed 3 of those.

Dexter Jackson made his debut in professional bodybuilding by participating in the Arnold Classic bodybuilding competition in 1999. In 2008, He won the Mr. Olympia title for the first time by defeating Jay Cutler. In the same year, he won the Arnold Classic title too. 2008 was his best year in bodybuilding when he won three other titles in professional bodybuilding competitions apart from Mr. Olympia and Arnold Classic. He released his bodybuilding documentary DVD in 2009. It was called ‘Dexter Jackson: Unbreakable’. He collaborated with filmmaker Alex Ardenti for this project.

Serge Nubret, popularly known as ‘The Black Panther’ was a professional bodybuilder from France. He won the Mr. Europe title of the IFBB professional bodybuilding league in 1970. He won the Mr. Universe competition conducted by ‘National Amateur Body-Builders Association’ (NABBA) in 1976. A year later, he won the Mr. World title of WBBG Pro. He has also acted in several films. The noteworthy ones include ‘Arrivano i titani’ in Italian, ‘César and Rosalie’ and ‘Le Professionnel’ in French. He wrote his autobiography ‘I am…Me and God’ in 2006.

Franco Columbu is a popular Italian bodybuilder. He was born in the year 1941. He started off as a professional boxer. He was also involved in professional weightlifting and powerlifting before becoming a bodybuilder. His height is around 1.65 m. He is one of the shortest bodybuilders. When the ‘World’s Strongest Man’ contest was held for the first time in the year 1977, he participated in the contest and ended up in the 5th place. He won the prestigious Mr.Olympia title twice in his bodybuilding career. He announced his retirement in 1981.

Dorian Yates is a professional bodybuilder from England. He has won 6 Mr. Olympia titles in consecutive years starting from the year 1992. He is fourth in the list of bodybuilders with the highest number of Mr. Olympia titles. He retired in the year 1997 following his 6th Mr. Olympia title. He is commonly known by his nickname ‘The Shadow’. He released his autobiography in the year 1993. It was named ‘Blood and Guts’. Three years later, he released a video of his workouts. The video was also named ‘Blood and Guts’.

Markus Ruhl is a 41-year old German bodybuilder. He began his professional bodybuilding career at the age of 23. During his training days, he used to work as a salesman of used cars. He is particularly well known for his huge shoulders. He is popularly known as ‘The German Freak’. His weight during competition seasons used to be around 280 pounds. During the off-seasons, he used to weigh around 320 pounds. He has acted in movies on bodybuilding training such as ‘Big Beyond Belief’, ‘Ruhling 4 Ever’, ‘Made in Germany’ and ‘Big and Loving It’.

Lou Ferrigno is a professional bodybuilder who became a fitness trainer after his retirement. He has also acted in a few American films and TV shows. His role as the ‘The Hulk’ in the American TV series ‘The Incredible Hulk’ produced by CBS is his most popular role till date. He has one Mr. America title and two Mr. Universe titles in the IFBB professional bodybuilding league. He won the Mr. Universe titles in consecutive years. He made a brief appearance in ‘Pumping Iron’, a popular documentary on bodybuilding. During his early days in bodybuilding, he trained with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Lee Haney is a professional bodybuilder from South Carolina, USA. He started his bodybuilding career in the late 1970s. He has 8 Mr. Olympia titles to his credit. It is a record which he shares with Ronnie Coleman. He holds a degree in child psychology from the ‘Spartanburg Methodist University’. He was appointed as the chairman of the ‘President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports’ when Bill Clinton was the president of USA. On the ‘Trinity Broadcasting Network’, he runs a bodybuilding program known as ‘TotaLee Fit with Lee Hanley’. He is a highly religious person

Ronnie Coleman is a professional bodybuilder from USA. He has won the ‘IFBB Professional League’ title 26 times which is the most by any bodybuilder. In Mr. Olympia, a professional bodybuilding competition for men, he has won eight consecutive titles. He worked as a police officer for 11 years starting from 1989 in the city of Arlington. He worked as a reserve police officer for three more years. The first title that he won as a professional bodybuilder was in the year 1995 in the Canada pro Cup. He has made a few useful training videos on bodybuilding.





[h=1]Arnold Schwarzenegger[/h]

Arnold Schwarzenegger is the most popular bodybuilder who made it big in Hollywood. Every year, a bodybuilding competition is held in the name of Arnold known as ‘Arnold Classic Annual Bodybuilding Competition’. He is the owner of several gyms and quality magazines on fitness and bodybuilding. He used to write a column on bodybuilding every month for magazines such as ‘Flex’ and ‘Muscle & Fitness’. In his early years, he had participated in many weightlifting competitions and has won several titles. In the year 1967, he won a stone-lifting competition held in Munich, Germany. The stone weighed around 560 pounds.
