Types of Fat:
The fat in our tummies or our abdomen is either subcutaneous orvisceral. The subcutaneous fat is the one which you can feel when you press thebelly. However, the visceral fat is unseen as it lies in the gaps between ourabdominal organs. While, in appropriate quantity, it acts like a protectivelayer to our organs, too much of it can lead to several serious health issueslike heart diseases, diabetes, respiratory problems and cancer.
What Does Visceral Fat Do:
Visceral fat breaks down very easily which results in free fattyacids and other substances in our bloodstream. Moreover, it’s located near theportal vein which is responsible for delivering blood to our liver. Thus, alongwith the blood, it carried the free fatty acids as well which then hinder theliver’s proper functioning.
Visceral fat is also known to cause an imbalance in some of thehormonal functions. This fat is known to thus cause cardiovascular diseases,increase cholesterol and blood pressure as well as lower insulin resistanceresulting in diabetes.
It’s no wonder that today people are advised to measure theirhealth according to the body fat rather than weight

In women, menopause is a big contributor to tummy fat since itreduces the body’s capacity to burn it up. Also, as one ages, the metabolicactivity decreases, thus making it more difficult to burn the fat.

Having a flat waistline is no longer only the matter of lookinggood. Tummy fat is quite dangerous and can even lead to an early death if leftunchecked. A healthy diet and a good workout should be an important part ofyour routine regardless of your age and gender.

You can follow these to reduce the pot belly.

Yoga will surely help .

Especially the exercises for stomach alone will surely help.

Kapalabhatti exercise will surely help .

Along with this, a strict diet plays an important role in reducing the pot belly.

Cut down white rice, fat items.

Instead of white rice, you can use brown rice.

If still you are particular, you can cut the rice intake and follow the PROTEIN diet.

You can take CHICKPEAS, Soya, Rajma etc. and make them as sundal.

Along with this, you can take Oats in various forms, all vegetables, fruits.

These will surely help.
