Dealing with bitterness in a relationship

Nothing's going to be hunky dory forever in a relationship. But the bitterness in a relations can be handled in a wise way to avoid further conflicts at home.

Some things in life need to be viewed with utmost care. And the growing bitterness in a relationship is one such thing which needs to be handled very carefully. There may be differences of opinions, ego issues, disagreement on issues, likes and dislikes and compatibility problems which are but natural in any relationship.

It is in these kinds of situations that one needs to absolutely weigh the pros and cons and after effects of aggressively dealing with challenging situations. So, if there is a prolonged argument which needs to have a full stop, for that matter irreconcilable differences which are hampering the ecosystem at home, one needs to ponder over where lies the fracture in the relationship and find out ways to correct things.

First and foremost, two people need to sit together to list out where and why things have gone wrong.

Make sure that you push the envelope and take initiative to begin the conversation.

Don't lose cool. It may worsen situation. Just star your conversation with compliments and then move on to describe what you feel is the bone of contention.

Most often, we take each other for granted. So realize your mistake and come forward to accept your mistakes.

Even though you expect your partner to make amends, just be flexible and try to patch up amicably.
