4.5 million people of India are the victims of diabetes. The main reason for the diabetes is irregular meal, mental stress and lack of exercise.

Here is a Healthy Diet Plan for Diabetic Patients

Diabetes Diet Chart

Morning:

At 6.00 AM :

  • ½ tspn fenugreek powder with water.
At 7.00 AM:

  • 1 cup sugar free tea and 1 to 2 mary biscuits.
At 8.30 AM:

  • 1 plate upma or oatmeal &
  • half bowl sprouted grains &
  • 100ml cream - free milk without sugar
At 10.30 AM:

  • 1 small fruit (Or)
  • 1 cup thin and sugar free buttermilk (Or)
  • Lemon water
Lunch At 1.00 PM:

  • 2 roti of mixed flour,
  • 1 bowl rice,
  • 1 bowl pulse,
  • 1 bowl yogurt,
  • half bowl green vegetable,
  • one plate salad
At 4.00 PM:

  • 1 cup tea without sugar &
  • 1 to 2 less sugar biscuits or toast
At 6.00 PM:

  • 1 cup soup
At 8.30 PM:

  • 2 roti of mixed flour,
  • 1 bowl rice,
  • 1 bowl pulse,
  • half bowl green vegetable,
  • one plate salad
At 10.30 PM:

  • Take 1 cup cream - free milk without sugar.
With this diet plan, the diabetes patient can intake raw vegetables, salad, black tea, veg soups, thin buttermilk and lemon water When they feel hungry.

Foods to be avoided:

  • Sugar
  • Honey
  • Sweets
  • Dry fruits.

Diabetes Diet Advice to Diabetic Patients.

  • 40 minutes of faster walk every day.
  • Diabetic person should eat food between times intervals like take breakfast in morning, lunch, some snakes and dinner.
  • Oily Foods should be avoided
  • Intake of fiber rich foods in meals. This helps to increase glucose level in blood and keeps control.
  • Don't observe fasting.
  • Diabetic person should eat food slowly.
