Pregnancy an important phase in every womens life. Here is a list of do's and dont's during pregnancy.

Do's during Pregnancy:
  1. Take sufficient rest and keep stress away.
  2. Keep yourself hydrated by drinking lots of fluids, especially water.
  3. Eat healthy, fiber-rich foods with lots of vegetables and fruits.
  4. Drink sufficient low-fat milk, yogurt to get your calcium supply.
  5. Folic acid is of extreme importance to sustain a healthy pregnancy.
  6. Protein is very important for the baby's brain to develop and also to help you have a healthy full term.
  7. Get into regular physical activity like walking and mild exercise.
  8. Whatever be the doubts just clarify with elders or with doctors.
  9. Try to sleep on sides, and preferably on left side to maximum flow of blood and oxygen to your baby.
  10. It is safe to sleep on your right side as well, and this may be necessary if you need to change positions periodically.

Dont's during Pregnancy:

  1. Don't eat raw, uncooked or undercooked meat and eggs.
  2. Completely avoid caffeinated beverages like coffee, tea, colas
  3. Don't do vigorous exercise and physical activities.
  4. Alcoholic drinks including wine avoid them altogether.
  5. Smoking and secondhand smoke.
  6. X-rays unless your doctor has Okayed it.
  7. Don't take any medicine (even Fever and cold medications) without the consultation of doctor
  8. Avoid hot environments since high temperatures is risky for your baby
  9. Avoid High fat and sugary foods, Opt for healthier snacks like fruits
  10. Stress, Create a positive environment through with good books, soothing music etc anything to keep your mind off tension.
  11. Avoid Sexual Activity during the first trimester and consult with doctor.

Do's during pregnancy

First of all, make sure you have enough sleep at night. It might affect your baby if you stay up late and overstress yourself. It is also advisable for you to take good care of your diet as your baby will consume the food that you take. It is great if you can take more vegetables and fruits that rich in vitamins. Do follow your doctor's recommendations closely.

Go for medical check up regularly to make sure your baby is in a good condition. Whenever you feel uneasy or something goes wrong with your body, make sure you call up your doctor or your spouse immediately.

Pregnant women should go for light exercise or workout more often. You can join the exercise class for mummy-to-be as this will help the growth of your baby and make sure he or she is in position during pregnancy.

Don'ts during pregnancy

Do not take alcoholic drinks and smoke when you are pregnant. This will affect the growth of your baby. Do avoid going environmentally polluted places as well. You might end up having an unhealthy baby later on if you inhale lots of polluted air or smoke.

Most importantly is; don't try to stand on a chair or to climb on stairs. If something is unreachable, ask for help. This is to prevent you from falling down from the chairs as miscarriage might happen if you are unlucky.

These are all the basic things that you must take care during pregnancy. Although sometimes you might feel a bit bored and tied up with all the dos and don'ts, but when you think of your cute little baby, everything you do now is really worth it.
