Doing exercise is a good way in order to stay fit during pregnancy. It helps in strengthening the cardiovascular system of the body. Not only this, it prevents mother from getting stress out as carrying fifteen or more pounds of baby is not an easy job.
Several exercises are being recommended and abdominal exercises during pregnancy are helpful for abdomen muscles tuning. Doing sit-ups and crunches in the first trimester is safe enough to perform. They must be avoided in the second trimester because blood vessels constrictions may brought halt in oxygen and blood supply to the baby. Apart from them, swimming is another good exercise of abdomen which can help to keep you and your baby to stay healthy.
